Users of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro who’ve been experiencing sound issues may be able to get their handsets repaired for free.
Apple has confirmed that sound issues have been reported on some iPhone 12 and 12 Pro devices, most likely owing to a faulty receiver component. If your iPhone’s receiver component is defective, it won’t make any sound when you transmit or receive calls. Your device could be affected if it was manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.
Only the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are covered by Apple’s “iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Service Program for No Sound Issues.” The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max aren’t eligible, although they shouldn’t be affected either.
Apple will fix your iPhone 12 or 12 Pro for free if you believe it is faulty.
It’s vital to remember that any additional damage that would obstruct repairs (such as a cracked screen) must be repaired first and at your own expense. Furthermore, if your device has been out of use for more than two years, you may not be covered.

You can take your iPhone 12 or 12 Pro to an authorized service provider or book an appointment at an Apple Store if you have sound issues.
If you don’t want to go inside a store, you can contact Apple Support and have it shipped to Apple for repairs instead. Apple suggests backing up your device before servicing it, regardless of your preference.
