The latest Portal device from Facebook takes the series in a new direction.
Facebook is branching out with its Portal product line. The new Facebook Portal Go was just introduced by the social networking giant.
We’ll have a look at the new device and see how different it is from other Portable devices.
Portal Go offers the standard smart camera experience with a twist. The device may be moved from room to room in a house during a Zoom video call or for any other reason thanks to a built-in battery.
There’s also a built-in handle to make it easier to hold the device.
A 10-inch screen and a 12-megapixel camera with an ultrawide field of view are included in the device. This will ensure that the person talking is always visible.
Even when you’re not on a video call, the Portal Go has a lot of other things to offer. It has Amazon’s Alexa built-in, so you can use voice commands to check the weather, play music, and more.
It also works with a number of other services, including Pandora, Spotify, and Plex.
The Portal Go has a built-in camera cover and a switch to turn off the microphone and camera for more privacy.
The Facebook Portal Go is $199. The smartphone is currently available for preorder on Facebook. On October 19, orders will begin shipping.
The new Facebook Portal Go gives users a new method to interact with the social network’s video chat hardware. It stands out in a sea of other smart speakers with touchscreens and cameras thanks to its built-in battery and ability to move between rooms in your home.
If the Portal Go doesn’t appeal to you, the Portal TV converts any television into a large-screen video chatting platform.
