The latest Google Play Games update includes full integration with the game dashboard in Android 12.
Google previewed a new Game Dashboard for Android 12 this year, which would let users monitor frames-per-second, record gameplay, and activate Do Not Disturb mode while they are playing games. Now you can see how the dashboard works with your Play Games account.
You’ll need Android 12 Beta 4 or later, according to 9To5Google, but when you downloaded, you can use the newest widget by updating to Play Games v2021.07.28550.
The YouTube Live widget, which allows you to instantly stream your games to YouTube, is next to the widget. Although not every game is supported with the Play Games integration just yet, according to XDA Developers, which first detected the changes with the update.
Games that support the new widget, on the other hand, will allow you to access your profile and privacy settings pages, as well as check accomplishments and leaderboards, directly from the dashboard. Without needing to access the full app, you can easily manage your Play Games account.
“According to XDA Developers, not every game appears to support the Play Games integration at this time.”
The Game Dashboard will be available with Android 12 later this fall and it will only be available on specific Android devices.
We don’t know whether Google aims to expand the Game Dashboard’s device support in the future, or if it will remain confined to those devices. Now, though, you can see how the Play Games app integrates into the dashboard.
