On Wednesday, Microsoft revealed the new Surface Pro 8 at its Microsoft Surface Event.
The Surface Pro 8 is the business’s “most powerful Pro” yet, according to the company. Intel’s 11th Gen quad-core processors, up to 32GB of RAM, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, 16 hours of battery life, and Dolby Atmos sound are just a few of the highlights mentioned.
The new Surface Pro, according to Microsoft, has 43% more CPU power and 75% faster graphics power than the Surface Pro 7. It also includes a 13-inch, 120Hz display with thinner bezels than previous Surface generations, with over 5.5 million pixels and Adaptive Color Technology that adapts to the color temperature of your surroundings organically.
A new Surface Slim Pen 2, which has magnetic storage and charging space built into the keyboard, is also included with the tablet. When you pick up the pen, a menu for the pen appears on the Surface Pro. The Surface Slim Pen 2 also boasts a sharper pen tip that feels more precise and responsive, has zero pressure force, smoother flow, and greater control, according to Microsoft.
The new Surface Pro 8 is $1099.99 and it’s available for pre-order on Wednesday, with a shipping date of October 5.
The Surface Pro 8 was created in tandem with Windows 11, according to Microsoft, so it should work flawlessly with the new features. Some of the new features include a widget taskbar, a redesigned Microsoft Paint and Photos app, a new Start Menu, the ability to resize windows to take up either half of your screen (called Snap Layouts), and more. Microsoft also released Windows 11 on October 5.
